THIS IS WHAT I LOOK LIKE.
Hiyya!
My name is Amira, pronounced “uh-meer-ah” and not “a-my-ra”. I want to clarify that only because in my 22 years of living, I’ve heard everything from “Am-rah” (hello! you’re missing a letter! makes a difference!) to “A-Mirr-oh” then they say “Hey AMIRA do you have A MIRROR? Get it?!” and then a massive LOL-fest on their part.
And yes. I get it. I’ve gotten it since kindergarten because that’s how old it is. Heh.
In 2005 I married a man that stalked me for about two years that I never thought I would, meaning that I was convinced we were incompatible when we first met. And now we’re married. Interesting. There are many words that can describe him, but one word does the job well: BrilliantlyAmazingAndMyHoneyBun. Overall there isn’t anyone else I’d rather live my life out with and I am very lucky to have him.
Note that his face doesn’t actually look like that, but he doesn’t want his visage on the interwebs because he’s just a little weird like that. But I love him, weirdness in all!

SO I GUESS THIS PICTURE IS SORT OF POINTLESS...
In March of 2008 I peed on a stick and saw the double lines that cause women near and far to potentially wet their pants. My shock mechanism was to laugh for about ten minutes straight. Then I promptly took a picture of that sucker because I didn’t know what else to do with it, honestly.
I’d show it to you, but it’s getting a little cramp for room with pictures.
On December 10, 2008 our amazing baby was born and we were labeled parental units to the most utterly phenomenal little boy. I genuinely doubt there are words to describe how you feel about your child(ren), and “We love him” is an understatement.
A word to describe Aiman, our boy: PerfectionAndLovePersonified
He also arrived exactly on his due date, so that gives me hope that he won’t be as grossly late as his mother is for things, occasionally (often).

MARVEL AT HIS PERFECTION!
If you’re totally diggin’ this (or a true creeper) you can go here and here for EVEN MORE Amira! If you’ve already clicked on the links, then I’d advise you to read part 2 first (the first link).
Currently I’m doing the wife-mother-student gig, except instead of nine-to-five it’s more like every second of my life.
I’m also not being paid.
Basically I’m what society would call an “adult” (by law at least) but I have plenty of maturing to do and this blog is an attempt to chronicle my mishaps adventures in motherhood and the continuous work in progress that I am .
And maybe prove to my kid(s) that I was decently cool at one point. Yes? No? Maybe?
Yes.
-Amira
P.S. Don’t be shy; I’ve shared more than you probably wanted to know, so go ahead and introduce yourself.
